Sometimes it doesn’t take much to be happy: a two-wheeler, a helmet, and a backpack are enough for the more adventurous to fully enjoy the wonders that Ireland has to offer! An itinerant means of transport, which will allow you to swallow the asphalt, while getting lost in grandiose landscapes, such as the Connemara or the Burren!

Generally, there are 2 schools:

  • travellers bring their own motorbike with them, taking a ferry.
  • the others tend to rent on the spot a two-wheeler that meets their expectations. A more expensive, but more flexible and comfortable operation, offered by many car rental companies.

It’s up to you! Many motorcycle enthusiasts also prefer to organize this type of group trip. It is indeed more fun to travel with several motorcycles!

Of course, a motorbike licence is required to travel in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Moreover, the highway code is quite similar to that of France, except that the driving is done on the left side of the road! The only thing left to do is to leave well equipped to protect yourself from bad weather, and that’s it!
