The Wicklow Head Ligthouse is an Irish lighthouse in County Wicklow overlooking the ocean. Quite atypical, it has the particularity of being entirely grey, and presents rather austere paces.
Although the lighthouse is not accessible to visitors, nothing prevents you from approaching it and going around it! It overlooks the bay and offers a rather nice view of the ocean!
The lighthouse is octagonal in shape and extends over 5 floors. Always in activity, it has been automated to avoid the presence of a possible keeper, and therefore lights up every night to guide the approaching boats.
This lighthouse, although atypical, has a certain charm due to its location lost in the middle of the wilderness, close to the ocean. A nice place, but let’s be clear: the Wicklow Head Lighthouse is not really the most beautiful lighthouse in Ireland.
