Visit the Uragh Stone Circle

It is in an absolutely grandiose setting that the stones of the Uragh Stone Circle stand. There are 5 of them, the highest being 3 metres high. The stones describe a circle with a diameter of 2.4 metres, one of which is slightly off-centre.

The spectacle they offer is magnificent and seems as if suspended and out of time.

Access is free and the site is very well preserved. Many mysteries remain about the meaning and use of this stone circle. However, many archaeologists agree that these remains were used for ceremonial and ritual practices.
