Tynte’s Castle is a Youghal Castle in Tipperary County, on North Main Street. Arranged in the form of a fortified tower, it is now the pride of the people of Youghal and opens its doors to visitors every day!
At the end of North Main Street is Tynte’s Castle, a fortified tower built in the 15th century.
The only tower to have survived among the 6 built in Youghal, at the same period, Tynte’s Castle is now open to the public, and offers a beautiful view of the town and its houses.
It costs less than €5 to enter, and takes just half an hour to visit.
