A road to get to the heart of the soul of the Northern Irish country

The Torr Head Scenic Route is a bit of a postcard place. It will offer you fabulous scenery, which will reveal to you all the beauty of the soul of Northern Ireland.

This route is best experienced by car, as you will have to drive along narrow, winding roads (called the Torr Head Scenic Route), starting from Ballycastle and heading towards Cushendun. These roads will take you along the coast, where you can see cliffs, bays, dream beaches, reefs and sea views.

You will discover successively Fair Head, Murlough Bay and Torr Head, 3 exceptional places which will give you a great view.

Don’t hesitate to make stops: the tour must be done at your own pace and according to your desires. The road also has a few areas where you can make a stop, take a few pictures and then leave again (Be careful, some parts of the road cannot allow 2 cars to pass each other: you will have to plan an order of passage).

Don’t miss the section of road that links Torr Head to Cushendun: the road has been built on the edge of a cliff, and you will have an incredible and breathtaking view of the sea below!

Once you reach the top, you will have access to a magnificent 360 degree panorama. The place is isolated, with greenery, ocean and sheep. You will even be able to make out the Scotsman in the open sea when the weather is clear. Don’t hesitate to take pictures: the place is simply magical and unforgettable!
