The Swords Castle – infomatique – cc
Swords Castle was once built as a stately residence for the Archbishops of Dublin. Covering an area of over 6000m², it has a north tower, a fortified enclosure, a chapel and a pretty garden. It is only partially accessible: only the tower is open to visitors for the modest sum of 5€ and will offer you a breathtaking view of the city and its surroundings.
Do not miss its exceptional architecture, the beauty of its fortifications, and its surrounding nature: the show is charming!
It should be noted that the castle has recently been renovated: in 2010, it was even used as a film location for the series “Les Tudors”.
