St Audeon’s Church is now open to visitors. Sublime, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful churches in Dublin.
Dating from the 12th century, it has been gradually restored and modernised over the years. The main tower has 6 bells (3 of which are considered the oldest in Ireland), as well as a beautiful dial clock added in the 1820s. The tower offers a breathtaking view of Dublin and its surroundings, and still chimes for special occasions.
You will be able to penetrate inside the church, and admire its magnificent nave, its choir, and its impressive vaults. Still in operation, St Audeon’s Church welcomes as many visitors as it does faithfuls. A beautiful building, which will allow you to better understand the Catholic history of Dublin!
