Shannon

The Shannon is a 322km long Irish river, which crosses Ireland from East to West. Considered as one of the major rivers in Ireland, it is also one of the most prolific in terms of fish. The inhabitants living on its banks have always been able to exploit the Shannon for their subsistence, and even today, the Shannon is the epicentre of intense economic activity .
