An institution for golfers!

In Newcastle, we don’t joke about golf. It must be said that the city is particularly proud of its local golf club, which would have been ranked in 2016 by Golf Digest as the best golf course in the world (outside the United States).

The club has become an emblematic place for connoisseurs. It has organized many important tournaments such as the Walker Cup . The Irish Open also took place there at the end of May 2015 .

Also, the famous Irish golfer Rory McIlroy has always said that the Royal County Down Golf is his favourite course in the world.

It must be said that the club offers a playground of great diversity and subtlety. All this in an exceptional setting, between dunes, sand and sea!

The place is of course open to all players. You will be able to rent the necessary equipment, a caddie, and of course enjoy a rather nice café and restaurant area.
