Lough Dan is an Irish lake belonging to the Wicklow Mountains National Park. Beautiful, it cohabits with another lake, Lough Tay, and has the particularity of being literally surrounded by mountains! A magical place, which will find its followers among unconditional nature lovers!

A lake with dark and beautiful waters!

The Lough Dan can be admired by taking the mythical Sally Gap, a crossing pass, culminating at more than 400 meters of altitude! Borrowable on foot or by car, it offers a magnificent view of Lough Tay, Lough Dan, and Luggala Mountain, which seems to silently watch over the waters of the 2 lakes.

Fishing is forbidden on the lake, but the place lends itself wonderfully to a small walk along its banks, or even a picnic!

The view is fantastic and will deserve that budding photographers bring back some memories of this extraordinary panorama!

Don’t hesitate to follow the Sally Gap road: it will present the lake to you from various really nice angles!
