A dolmen in excellent condition!

The Haroldstown Dolmen is located in the middle of the fields, on a private land next to the R727 road. So, we advise you to ask for prior permission before approaching it: the rather nice owner usually allows access to the dolmen with this politeness.

The dolmen was once the very entrance to a prehistoric tomb. The funerary chamber then sheltered human bones, arrowheads, pottery, as well as other common objects of the time which were only found in the 19th century .

The dolmen is rather imposing, well-balanced, and carries an intriguing mystery. Its charm and authenticity make it a sure value of the region: you will be fascinated by its beauty and its ancestral character!
