Fancy a walk through spectacular scenery? Then you can visit the Gleniff Horseshoe, a sightseeing tour that can be done on foot, on horseback, or even by bike. The tour promises breathtaking views of the Irish wilderness, mountains and waterfalls.
To take the walk, you’ll need to take the Gleniff Horseshoe Drive, a paved road, accessible to cars and buses, which will allow you to explore the surrounding area and take in the fabulous views.
The walk is 10km long and can easily be completed in 2 hours on foot. The road requires only an average level of walking and has the advantage of being little used by vehicles. A great opportunity to enjoy the landscape in a natural and quiet setting!
A small river meanders along your road, and you can climb a few hills, a small bridge, admire the surrounding mountains, its forests, and of course, the authentic charm of the Irish moorland. The views are spectacular, and will plunge you into a world far from civilization.
Possibility to picnic on the spot, as you progress. Don’t miss a nice waterfall on the way.
