Downhill Beach

Downhill Beach is a sumptuous beach of 11km of fine sand, located in Northern Ireland near the village of Castelrock. It is there that the no less famous Mussenden Temple is located!

Particularly long, and made up of white sand, it is the perfect place to spend time with your family, picnicking with your feet in the water, walking, swimming, or surfing! It must be said that the beach, in addition to being magnificent, has an officially protected fauna and flora! You will be able to marvel at the superb sand dunes, or at the incredible number of seabirds!

For the anecdote, it is on this beach that many scenes from the Iron Throne series were filmed. Thus, Downhill Beach was used as a place to symbolize “Dragonstone”, the place where the 7 idols of Westeros were burned.
