The Dingle Distillery is a distillery specialized in the production of Irish whiskey. This very recent distillery opened its doors in 2012, and has installed its premises in a former sawmill in the town of Dingle. For the moment, its first productions are in the ageing phase: see you in 2018 to start tasting them!
Although recent, the Dingle distillery presents itself as an artisanal distillery which wishes to leave its mark in the world of irish whiskey production. Whilst Irish whiskeys are largely produced by the giant Irish Distillers and Pernod Ricard, this new brand wants to introduce a new range of products and hopes to make its mark with equally good quality whiskey.
Opened by Oliver Hughes, the Dingle Distillery started producing Irish Whiskey (with triple distillation), as well as gin and vodka in November 2012. To do so, the distillery has invested in magnificent copper stills designed by John McDougall.
For the time being, it is impossible for us to present the quality of their whiskey, as it is currently ageing in massive casks. These will not be tasted until 2018. However, the distillery is currently opening its doors to visitors, and has a nice Visitor Centre. This is an opportunity for you to visit the distillery, to discover the different distillation processes of whiskey, and above all, to pre-order the future maturing beverage if necessary.
