A museum dedicated to Daniel O’Connell
The house is located in a small national park of 120 hectares. You will be able to admire the beauty of its environment, with its surrounding beaches, tropical plants, or deep forests… The house has 2 floors that can be visited:
- the ground floor contains many memorabilia and objects related to Daniel O’Connell. Most notable are his sword, family portraits, period furniture, and an old blunderbuss that belonged to Robert Emmet.
- on the second floor, there is a large library, an old armchair where he used to sit during his lifetime, as well as posters and photos.
- in the outbuildings, don’t miss the float on which the lawyer was paraded in triumph!
