Irish smoked salmon – nblxer

Opened in 1979, the Ballyconnelly Salmon Smokehouse is a family business that devotes its time to smoking fish.
Considered the oldest salmon smoking plant in Connemara, it prepares salmon (farmed or wild), as well as mackerel and tuna.

And for this occasion, the Roberts family (owner of the smokehouse), multiplies the processes and the original and new recipes to decline its fish! Smoking wood, honey marinade, herb marinade, berry marinade…etc.

The whole is delicious, and is also sold directly on the spot…

Possibility to get information on the methods of smoking fish (in particular with beech wood), and to taste some of the products before buying them…

(Their website also offers to buy online !) Very welcoming and professional family !

Thus, among its flagship products, the smokehouse offers :

Salmon Mackerel Tuna
  • traditional Irish smoked salmon
  • roast smoked salmon

  • gravlax (marinated salmon)
  • smoked mackerel
