Visit Bray Head on Valentia Island

A rocky point overlooking the ocean

Valentia Island has many treasures: and Bray Head is one of them! Located south-west of Valentia, this point is not to be confused with Bray Head in County Wicklow. This point offers superb walking trails, which will make you discover a watchtower in perfect condition. It is said to date from the Napoleonic era, and overlooks the rest of the island!

This tower allowed the 2,200 or so inhabitants living on the island at the time to keep an eye on the Atlantic and its ships. An exceptional point of view which is one of the most beautiful sites of Valentia Island!

Don’t hesitate to put on your walking shoes: a marked path is located on the left of the tower, and will make you walk along the coast! Fabulous landscapes are on the program!
