The Ballybunion Castle is about 12 metres high and dominates the village beach for several dozen metres. Impossible to miss, it is the pride of the local inhabitants of Ballybunion!

It is said to have been built in the 1500s by the Fitzmaurices family. Only a few sections of walls have been able to resist the passage of time, but we do not sulk our pleasure in admiring it from the top of its rocky promontory. For this castle has a majestic charm due to its location.

You will have the opportunity to visit it and appreciate all its mystery. It should be noted that an underground gallery dug into the cliff has been discovered: it once linked the castle neither seen nor known. Unfortunately, the underground has collapsed, leaving no possibility of using it.
