County Kildare

County Kildare

Situated south-west of Dublin, County Kildare is a dynamic and culturally growing region. With over 186,335 inhabitants across the county, the Kildare region has many natural attractions, such as the Bog of Allen bog.

For lovers of historical sites, you won’t be outdone, as Kildare has some superb castles, such as Maynooth Castle, but also some beautiful old abbeys such as Castledermot Abbey.

The towns in the county also have a charm and authenticity that is second to none: their inhabitants are very warm and welcoming, and there are many possibilities for accommodation and catering on site (all for a reasonable budget!).
