Notice to gourmets capable of anything to enjoy a good cheese! The Milleens is one of the best Irish cheeses of the country! Produced since 1976 by Veronica Steele, this delicacy has quickly earned its letters of nobility! It is now one of the top cheeses produced in Ireland, and is well worth a moment’s pause…

Taste the Milleens

Portrait of a cheese with character!

The Milleens is officially the first Irish artisanal cheese in the history of the green Erin. It is a washed-rind cheese with an orange to pink colour. Inside, its paste promises a soft and flowing texture, with a taste of forest, mushrooms and herbs.

A spicy flavour, which goes perfectly with crisp bread and a fresh beer (Irish Pub culture obliges)!

Nowadays it is still produced by Veronica Steele, and is sold after a maturing period of 2 to 3 months. To be tasted at the place of production, in the county of Cork!

Note that many Irish markets offer it on their stands. A delicious cheese that might surprise you!

Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Consume in moderation.

Still so much to discover!
