Kearney Blue is an artisan cheese from Northern Ireland, produced on a small farm in County Down in Northern Ireland. It is an amazing blue, created only in 2010, and has already won prestigious gastronomic awards!
Kearney Blue is easily recognized by its round, gray crust and creamy melt-in-your-mouth blue streak. Strong in the mouth, we recognize salty and spicy notes.
For its production, the farm uses quality Northern Irish pasteurised milk, supplied by Farmview Dairies, a company that obtains its milk from a small number of local farms renowned for the care they give to their herds.
Hand-made, this cheese is inspired by the best manufacturing techniques and has been strongly influenced by French and Austrian know-how. You can easily find this cheese in Down County, as well as in local restaurants. Please note that some supermarkets sometimes offer some: if the opportunity arises, do not hesitate! It is a very popular dish among cheese lovers in general!
Don’t hesitate to ask for some: it has nothing to envy French cheeses!
