Halloween is a serious business in Ireland. As the original cradle of the festival, the Emerald Isle organizes many festivals and other events dedicated to the celebration! And this year 2022 is quite special, as it marks the return of one of the most important Halloween festivals in the country: the Púca Festival! Absent from the scene since the beginning of the pandemic, the festival will make its comeback this year after almost 3 years of absence… and be sure: the event promises to be exceptional!

The Púca Festival 2022: the opportunity to celebrate Halloween in Ireland!

First class headliners!

It is impossible to celebrate Halloween in Ireland without going to the Púca Festival! It is without hesitation the biggest festival dedicated to the event, and gathers at each edition thousands of visitors who come to be frightened and to discover the Irish folklore concerning Samain (old name of Halloween).

And this year promises to be a great vintage! Among the countless artists invited, you can count on Gavin James, Imelda May and The Academic… and many other artists, who came to give concerts and animations for the occasion!

The organizers of the event are formal: this year, the Festival Púca will be the “biggest edition ever”, after years of absence due to the Covid-19.

The event, will be held as usual on 2 different cities: in Athboy and Trim, all located in County Meath. The festival will take place from 28 to 31 October and promises four nights of unforgettable music, with its share of scary stories, visits of haunted castles, bonfire…

But that’s not all: the Púca Festival will also offer fire shows, one-man shows and much more!

The festival will open with a beautiful procession to welcome the spirits of Samain: the parade will start in the streets of Trim and will reach the castle of Trim where the Jack O’Lantern Harvest Festival will be held.

This illuminated procession will be accompanied by music, fire and performances of all kinds! And of course, spectators will be invited to dress up as evil creatures and spirits to fit the theme!
