For smaller stomachs, there is another format other than the pint, served in Irish Pubs in Ireland. The most reasonable among you will be able to order what is called the “Half Pint”, the equivalent of half a pint of standard beer . A good compromise!
The Half Pint is a glass that contains exactly half a normal pint, or 284mL of beer. This format is served all over Ireland, and is aimed primarily at people who do not necessarily feel able to drink the equivalent of a whole pint.
The glass, which is smaller, has a shape identical to that of a pint.
Be careful though: ordering two half-pints is more expensive than ordering a normal pint… So it’s up to you to decide whether you will be tempted by a single half-pint, or by a standard pint (question of budget).
Generally, the half pint is a good alternative. Ideal for drinking beer in moderation and avoiding excess.L’abus d’alcool est dangereux pour la santé. A consommer avec modération.
